From the desk of... The LinJen Promotions Creative Team RE: Enhance every promotion with a card

Have you ever noticed how much time some people spend looking at the card they receive with a present? Whether it’s store bought or homemade, a properly-executed card serves many purposes. It can create excitement, share information, relay the gift-giver’s feelings or explain the purpose or significance of the gift.

A card that accompanies a promotional product can also add to the recipient’s perception of the gift. Equally important? The cost is typically negligible in relation to the cost of the entire promotion. And a well-written card is often kept.

There are countless ways to creatively support your promotion with a card. Consider these ideas:

Plaque imageEmployee of the Month. Plenty of plaques hang in hallways to acknowledge staffers’ outstanding contributions. But much of the time employees never receive a written explanation of what they did that was noteworthy in the eyes of the company. A card can not only tell the story, it can help recipients share the story. Plus, it isn’t likely to break anyone’s budget.

Pillow Gifts at Offsite Meetings. Providing attendees with a logoed gift upon their arrival is certain to make them feel welcome. But a card alongside it can express a sponsor’s appreciation for its audience’s willingness to travel, and, where appropriate, include a special offer or invitation not available elsewhere.

T-shirt in a can imageTrade Show Traffic Builder. You’ve sent an invitation to pre-registered attendees, inviting them to stop by your booth to receive a gift. Upon their arrival, you present them with a promotional product. They readily accept it and place in their “show bag.” But what if they are too busy (i.e., worried about having time to walk the entire show floor) to spend quality time with your staff? Can you rely solely on the product and imprint to carry your message? You’ll increase your chances of getting through to your prospects if you accompany or package the product with a short but sweet communication.

Don’t be surprised if the next time you talk with us about an upcoming promotional opportunity we suggest you consider enhancing it with a card! We’ve got plenty of ideas along these lines and welcome the chance to present you with options.
