From the desk of... The LinJen Promotions Creative Team RE: Give your image a boost

Here’s an idea to consider the next time you’re sitting at your desk (or gathered with your colleagues around a conference table) brainstorming ways to increase visibility among prospects and deepen ties with clients: Enhance your company’s image with a uniform.

If you’ve never thought about implementing a uniform, you should. For starters, the cost of top-quality apparel has dropped considerably in recent years. In addition, the factories we work with produce apparel in so many styles and colors today it’s easy to select a fashionable outfit that reflects a company’s colors.

A few other reasons for dressing staff in uniform:

  • You’ll help promote your brand. If your employees meet face to face with clients and prospects, sending them off in logoed jackets or shirts is a great way to showcase your corporate identity. Plus, in their travels to and from appointments, they may be seen by other prospective buyers.
  • You’ll seem more approachable. An information services company in our industry took a huge step toward improving customer service when trade show staff shed their suits in favor of black pants and a very bright yellow shirt matching signage in their exhibit. For the first time, clients felt like they had an open invitation to approach staff with their problems.
  • You’ll seem more “together.” The owner of a new retail flower shop in suburban Philadelphia provided staff with logoed shirts, jackets and aprons as soon as she could afford to supplement the other promotional materials she was using to promote the business (e.g., custom tissue and boxes, water bottles they used as vases for referral gifts). It wasn’t long before customers began asking if the shop was part of a franchise.

Apparel emblazoned with logos can do wonders for a business! If you’d like to talk about implementing a uniform -- or updating one -- call us at 708-478-8222 or send us an e-mail.
