From the desk of... The LinJen Promotions Creative Team RE: Give Staff a Summertime Boost
  Solutions #50

Chances are your employees have been planning their vacations and dreaming of the upcoming trips for months. Why not take the opportunity to show them that you understand their reverie while, at the same time, encouraging loyalty and productivity.

Offer summer incentives. Encourage productivity this summer by providing a redemption program. Extra hours worked or goals achieved would be rewarded with points exchangeable for summer-fun incentive products. Choices could range from beach towels to grill sets. Up the participation rate by raffling a day-off for those whose names are entered simply by logging extra hours. At the end of each month, draw a name from those eligible employees.

Plan outdoor breaks. The summer months are ideal for snack-time or lunch breaks at a picnic table outside your facility. Introduce the amenity with an employee picnic party at which you distribute individual insulated lunch bags in corporate colors, imprinted with your logo.

Cheer on your team. Organize a corporate baseball team or walking club during the summer months. Use the activity to build teamwork and camaraderie among your employees. Framed “Exceptional Player” plaques, in which you can insert a new photo/name after each game or in honor of those who’ve walked the most miles, can be hung in your break room.

Send employees off with a treat. Want to ensure that employees return appreciative after their vacations? An inexpensive gift-basket with a few essentials such as bug spray, suntan lotion and sole-imprinted flip-flops go far to generate good will (and you’ll spread your company’s “footprint” along the beach). Add a note telling your employee that he/she deserves a restorative break and you look forward to his/her safe return.

These are just a few “seeds” of ideas that we can grow together for great success. Give us a call at 708-478-8222 or send us an e-mail and we can make your employees’ summer bloom with productivity!
